Glendora is nestled at the base of the scenic San Gabriel Mountains, in the eastern portion of Los Angeles County. Located within 25 miles of Los Angeles, and the counties of Orange and San Bernardino, Glendora offers convenient access to a large workforce, major commercial sectors and educational institutions. Originally a small citrus-producing community, today, more than 50,000 residents enjoy Glendora's excellent public and private schools, lush parks, comprehensive community services and one of the lowest crime rates in Los Angeles County. Glendora's diversified business community ranges from the downtown "Village," where personalized service is provided by several owner-operated retail stores, to national retailers and corporate headquarters of major U.S. and international firms including CalPortland and the National Hot Rod Association. The City was recognized by the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation as the Most Business Friendly City in 2014 and based on the 2016 Glendora Business Survey, 96% of businesses are satisfied with Glendora as a place to conduct business. This recognition, in part, is due to our commitment to economic development and a true desire to assist both existing and incoming businesses with engagement through business surveys, educational programming and direct access in assisting businesses through the regulatory process.
