Gateway to the World
For business trips or vacation escapes, the San Gabriel Valley is ideally positioned for travelers: book-ended by two thriving airports and within an easy drive of the world’s busiest origin and destination airport.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
The titan of West Coast travel hubs, LAX is located only 30-35 miles away from most San Gabriel Valley cities.
Ontario International Airport (ONT)
This easy-to-manage gem is only a few minutes’ drive from the San Gabriel Valley. Without any of the fuss and traffic of larger airports, ONT offers flights to an array of US cities including most major hubs (see below) and direct international flights to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Taiwan, and mainland China. Nearly half of SoCal’s passenger trips are made by residents living closer to ONT than LAX. ONT also is the heart of e-commerce in Southern California, and one of the world’s most important e-commerce hubs.
Burbank "Bob Hope" Airport (BUR)
Just a few miles to the west of Pasadena, Hollywood Burbank Airport is another quickly-developing gateway, with 5.2 million passengers served per year and a new terminal opening in development. BUR offers 22 destinations, including many smaller West Coast airports.
