With 31 cities and more than 1.5 million residents, the San Gabriel Valley forms a region covering 385 square miles that stretches across portions of eastern Los Angeles County. Its cities represent more than a third of the municipalities in Los Angeles County. If it were a county, the San Gabriel Valley would be the seventh largest in California.
