The City strives to incentivize economic development by offering competitive electric rates for new and existing businesses as means of attracting, retaining and expanding local businesses Economic Development Rate-3 (EDR-3) The Economic Development Rate-3 is applicable to qualified non-residential customers receiving electric service from Azusa Light & Water for the purpose of:
1. Incenting businesses occupying new buildings/facilities or certain vacated commercial space;
2. Industrial business attraction and/or expansion;
3. Developing properties which either are or had been owned by the City of Azusa or its redevelopment agency for development purposes; or
4. Encouraging the location of new commercial customers in special retail categories or locations in the service area.
