Paul Thomas oversees all external and internal marketing efforts for the Partnership. He is responsible for strategically promoting the San Gabriel Valley as well as the Partnership. As Deputy President/CEO, he also assists with executive functions for the Partnership and represents the Partnership at many formal meetings.
Paul is passionate about connecting people through storytelling (especially via new technologies) and engaging new audiences through creative outreach solutions. He is fluent in French and speaks basic Mandarin Chinese.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Paul worked for many years in education, particularly overseeing events, marketing, and web content for the School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University. He also worked in China for over five years on various projects, including marketing, event planning, public relations, and as the music editor of a city-wide arts magazine in Guangzhou. He holds a master’s degree in English from Claremont Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in French from the University of La Verne.
