The Partnership will host Senator Josh Newman (D-29th District) on Friday, January 29th by Zoom. This event is co-sponsored with the San Gabriel Valley Public Affairs Network.
Senator Newman is a former United States Army officer, community and veteran activist, and entrepreneur. After graduation from Yale University, he served as a United States Army officer. Following a post-service professional career in the Internet technology sector, he founded and served as Executive Director of ArmedForce2Workforce, an initiative to assist young veterans in Orange County and Greater Los Angeles in their pursuit of rewarding, career-oriented employment. In 2016 he ran a successful grassroots campaign focused on a message of service, accountability, and common sense. During his tenure as State Senator, he uthored legislation that championed veteran services and mental health resources, improved local schools, helped businesses create jobs, and protected open space. He was reelected to the Senate in 2020.
