Come celebrate the next generation of professionals on National Intern Day, Thursday, July 29 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm via Zoom.
This summer the K12 Foothill Consortium is tackling the bioscience workforce shortage by partnering with the City of Hope. The K12 Foothill Consortium developed a bioscience experience collaborating with PhD students at the Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences. Ten Interns are creating PSAs in the areas of:
- Stem Cell Research
- Gestational Diabetes
- The Myths and Facts about the Covid19 vaccines
At this event the consortium honors interns assigned across the following organizations:
- City of Hope
- Peraton- Deep Space Network
- The Coderschool of Pasadena
- Havana Book Group
- Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs
- Simply Divine
- Charity on Top
- Elizabeth House
- NexusEdge
- DLL Technologies
- 50/50 Leadership
- LA Metro

At the end of the summer program, each student receives $250.00 for participation. This year’s fundraising goal is $6,000.00. We are well on our way to closing this gap thanks to our 2021 supporters:
