Membership Benefits
Membership invests in the success of your organization
You partner with Fortune 500 companies like Spectrum, AT&T, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, and City of Hope; educational institutions such as Pasadena City College, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, and Mt. San Antonio College and the majority of local governments such as the City of Pasadena or City of Industry who want to enhance, maintain the vitality and strength of one of the fastest growing regions in the Southern California area.
We were started in 1991 by three city managers who believed the San Gabriel Valley area businesses, organizations, and schools needed political advocacy, business services, workforce development, and networking opportunities.
Political Advocacy
We help support our members in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. on economic development, employee and management issues, taxation, energy policies, environment policies, and more. We fight for our members.
Business Services
We work tirelessly to keep local businesses aware of current programs for development, emergency relief, and the reduction of overhead costs. Our Business Development team visits the various businesses in the San Gabriel Valley to find out what their needs might be and how we can help. This allows us to get to know the businesses in the community we serve. Furthermore, we have an Education Pathway program that helps the local colleges and high schools connect with businesses to provide real industry exposure.
Networking
The Partnership provides social and informational events such as Legislative Networking Receptions, an Economic Forecast Summit, and our annual SGV Awards Gala. Also, we have meetings that are both educational and social outlets for our members.

Our Programs
Political Advocacy
The Partnership is a respected voice on business issues and has its finger on the pulse of public policy activity in a way that few businesses have the time or resources to duplicate.
Members receive regular updates on public policy decisions effecting the region's businesses. As a member, you can present legislative matters of concern to the Partnership's Legislative Action Committee for review.
Our staff also assists members in navigating the political process and identifying the correct contacts to move an issue forward with an elected official.
Additionally, Partnership members and staff take two advocacy trips per year to Washington D.C. and Sacramento, meeting with legislators and advocating on behalf of pro-business legislation.
Relationships with elected officials
In the span of a calendar year, Partnership members are given the opportunity to meet with 80% or more of the San Gabriel Valley's elected officials at Partnership events.
Members can meet with federal, state, or county officials in an intimate setting alongside 15-35 other members at the Partnership's Legislative Breakfasts held throughout the year.
The Partnership also hosts an annual Legislative Networking Reception that is well-attended by elected officials, business and community leaders.
"THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY IS A VERY SPECIAL AND A UNIQUE PART OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE PARTNERSHIP IS A TRUE FORCE IN CONTINUOUSLY ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE VALLEY'S RESIDENTS AND IN STIMULATING THE ECONOMIC GROWTH OF ITS BUSINESSES."
-BRIAN SAEGNER, PRESIDENT/CEO
